After an awesome launch night at Suburbia in August 2024, we couldn’t say no when invited to return, but we wanted to take a big step with SOCO LOCO and invited none other than the breakbeat maestro, Jon Gurd to join us.
2023 and '24 had proven to be standout years for Jon as a DJ and producer, who has enjoyed epic releases like the sublime ‘Ashen’ on Anjunadeep to his latest EP ‘Coda’ on his own label Space Between with his friend and frequent collaborator, Reset Robot.
Back in the early 2000's Jon warmed up for trance legends Paul Van Dyk, Scot Project and Armin Van Buuren at the legendary Slinky in Bournemouth. Jon has serious pedigree and what’s more, he’s honed his craft on the South Coast, so it just made sense to build SOCO LOCO with his help.
Inviting Jon Gurd to headline our second SOCO LOCO for us was an absolute dream and we all razed the roof at Suburbia, closing out our sophomore effort in style.
